I didn't think that I'd get one out this week. I've been feeling a little like shit lately. Or feeling like a little shit... either way is fairly accurate. Saira's Ebay and YahooMail accounts got hacked this week. This is the second time it has happened to her Ebay account. My first opinion is that this is the result of letting other people use your account. However, my suspicions were cast aside when I got home and ran a spyware detector on her system. It found a whopping 557 instances of spyware. 557! It surprised her too, since apparently she has been running PC-cillin. Apparently PC-cillin doesn't actually DETECT viruses and adware. It just... runs scans. Scans for what? ...No, I'm asking you. 'Cause it sure as hell isn't scanning for the things that it was DESIGNED to scan for. I thought that maybe it just wasn't updated and running old definitions. What a dumbass I am. It was updated, it just DOESN"T WORK. Now I gotta go out and grab a copy of Norton Systemworks for Saira. I also have to try and convince her to start running Windows XP Home and quit running Windows 2000, an operating system that hasn't been supported since this nation was at peace with the world. Oh, and as soon as the wounds heal, I'll get out a strip that will tell all you good boys and girls about the wedding I bailed from.
